Full-Time Correctional Assistant
Weber County Correctional Facility, $11.88/Hr
Under close supervision of an administrative superior, performs a variety of routine tasks in support role assisting correctional officers or other staff in areas such as, processing the intake of offenders into the Weber County Correctional Facility, routine control room functions, limited data terminal entry. This position requires rotating shift work. The shifts are comprised of hours required that you work weekends, holidays, etc. Accepts fees for payment, issues receipts, balances cash on hand against receipts keeps simple records of transactions, makes simple mathematical computations. Obtains offenders names charges, sentences, and other booking information according ro established methods and procedures. Performs other routine activities in support of the booking process such as logging information, issuing clothing, answering routine questions, completing an inventory of needed supplies. Maintains reports as directed, process information fills in data on standard facility forms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation or equivalent, AND Two years of increasingly responsible experience in clerical work; work experience must be appropriate to the position to be filled
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have no criminal record. Must pass extensive background examination
