Full-Time Emergency Manager
Box Elder County has an opening for a full-time Emergency Manager. The Emergency Manager performs a variety of administrative and technical duties related to planning, organizing and coordinating the development, implementation and conducting of emergency management operations.
Those interested in this position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Disaster Mitigation, Communications, Public Safety, Public Administration or related field. Applicants must have a minimum five years of progressively responsible experience performing related duties. Applicant must have considerable experience in a staff or administrative capacity appropriate to Emergency Management planning and/or operating; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Applicant must have or obtain with 12 months of hire the following certifications: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, NIMS 700, NIMS 800, IS-120, IS-230a, IS-235a, IS 240-a, IS-241a, IS-242a, IS-244a.
