Part-Time Makerspace Administrator
Performs a variety of customer-service duties for the delivery of public library services with specific emphasis on the library Makerspaces.
Coordinates Makerspace activities leading to the accomplishment of Makerspace objectives; Assists in developing Makerspace budgets, goals, objectives, policies and procedures;
Coordinates services with and refers patrons to other programs and community support agencies; Serves as a liaison between patrons, College, community organizations and the Makerspace program; Provides information and assistance to the public regarding the Makerspace program requirements and services; Develops partnerships with community agencies, business/industry and educators; Conducts outreach and recruitment activities and represents the Makerspace program and the library with colleges, high schools, vocational schools, public agencies and potential employers
Preferred Experience: Processes and programs in manufacturing, especially digital fabrication equipment and processes common to Makerspace; Application of Makerspace technology and principles in an educational setting.
Experience reinforcing safety with potentially hazardous equipment; Experience in project planning and building programs; Experience in interfacing with internal and external clients, vendors, and stakeholders in education and industry; Experience creating and overseeing budgets, program goals and schedules, identifying issues and solutions to resolve problems
- Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree; AND
- One (1) year of experience performing above or related duties; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
